Day 7

As I write this post, I am sore. Why you ask? Well two reasons... The first reason is that today was my second 5K....EVER!! My first 5K was this past Thanksgiving and it was a huge accomplishment for me. Doing my second 5K today was another huge accomplishment. The start was a little chilly and the finish got hot real quick. My average pace was 12:50...not too shabby! The second reason why I'm so sore is because after I got home from the 5K, I decided to go back out and do 3 miles. I felt the need to do more than 3.1 miles today. I'm glad I did, but now I'm looking forward to my "rest" day from running tomorrow. Who knows? Maybe tomorrow I'll do the ellpitical or even some more Wii!

Day 6

So tomorrow I have a 5K and every single rule I know about running says that today should be a "rest" day. But I just can't let it be. After only doing the Wii last night, I was really looking forward to hitting the pavement. So I went ahead for a quick run. I knew not to overdue even slightly, so I just did two miles. Looking forward to tomorrow's 5K!

Day 5

Today has been a crazy day. I planned on a run to get ready for my 5K, but the afternoon got out of control and I ran out of time. So rather than do nothing at all, I decided to get a little creative. I rocked it on the Wii tonight...that's right, the Wii. For gaming purposes it doesn't get any better than Wii Sports, right? I had a great little session with my boy and was glad that I at least did something.

Day 4

Today I did 30 minutes on the ellpitical. I'm trying to alternate running days with the ellpitical. Tomorrow I have big plans for my run. Wish me luck!

Day 3

So here I am Day 3. You were staring me right in the face. I need to start with the fact that it is FREEZING today on Day 3. Living in Florida makes me a wimp for cold weather. I knew for sure I would NOT be doing any activities outside today....I mean the high was 54...to me that's cold!!

So the day came and went. I figured I would just go ahead and do the elliptical again tonight. But no. Silly me decided to go for run outside in the freezing cold....I know what you're thinking. My husband thought I was crazy. I figured I might as well enjoy the cold and not sweat for once in my life. I ran around my big circle in my neighborhood. Just did two miles...short and sweet. But the exciting thing is that I ran around the entire circle once without stopping.....HUGE props to me! I've never run that far without stopping ever in the history of mankind. So today was a good day of movement. What about you? Did you move today?

Day 2

Today was a lazy day. My husband was off and having him home was such a treat. So I thought I would have all this free time on my hands to exercise. Turns out...I spent a lot of time munching and laying on the couch. It seemed as though my 365 Day Movement was doomed. Luckily for me and you, it wasn't. I ended up doing 30 minutes on my elliptical. Better than nothing, right?

Day 1

Today was the first day of my new exercise movement. I have not done any physical activity for almost three weeks now. I knew my fist day back would be a tough one. So today I walked....3.01 miles to be exact. Not a perfect start, but it's a beginning and that's all that matters.

The Beginning

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. For the next 365 days, I will do some form of exercise every single day. My goal for this movement is to be free. What do I mean by that? I want to be free from excess weight, free from working too much, and free to do whatever my heart desires. This 365 Day Movement will pave the way to a healthier, happier forever.
